Italy’s answer to 'Love, Actually'.

Featuring an all-star cast including Monica Bellucci and Robert De Niro (in his first Italian-language speaking role since Bertolucci’s 1900), the sexy new romantic comedy from writer/director Giovanni Veronesi (Manual of Love) is told in three interconnected chapters that illustrate ‘the three ages of man’.

Youth tells the story of Roberto (Riccardo Scamarcio), an ambitious young lawyer who is betrothed to Sara (Valeria Solarino) and thinks his life is planned out. But whilst working in a small Tuscan town, he meets and becomes immediately enchanted by the gorgeous and provocative Micol (Laura Chiatti)…

Maturity sees successful TV anchorman Fabio (comedy-icon Carlo Verdone), a faithful husband for 25 years, swept off his feet by the intriguing Eliana (Donatella Finocchiaro), a women who is not at all what she first seems…

Finally, Beyond follows Adrian (De Niro), an American art history professor who has lived in Rome since his divorce, whose peaceful existence is about to be disrupted by his doorman Augusto’s (Michele Placido) ebullient daughter Viola (Bellucci)… Meanwhile, a taxi-driving cupid (Emanuele Propizio) navigates the streets of Rome.

Aficionados of Italian comedy – and their way of life – will love this funny, if occasionally politically incorrect tale of intertwined romance, which was a huge local box office smash in early 2011, and a runaway success at the 2011 Lavazza Italian Film Festival in Australia.
